Elect Hernandez

My name is Christine Hernandez, and I’m running for Huntington Beach Union High School District Board (HBUHSD) of Trustees.

I am running because:

• I believe in the power of collective voice in all levels of leadership.

• I understand the value of public education in our community.

• I will be an advocate for the students, parents, teachers, and staff of the district.

• I know that when our students thrive, our communities thrive.

• I will take my ten years of experience in education and share my skills in my community.

• I am passionate about ensuring equity in education.

• I have demonstrated leadership in the field.

In the face of unprecedented times, our district, students, parents, staff, and teachers are all facing unique challenges, presenting the need for unique and creative solutions. I want to build relationships and lead with a forward thinking attitude with an emphasis on equity, health, and safety.

We need new voices willing to actively listen to our community, engage with stakeholders, and lead. We need leaders who represent our community and who can move forward with a vision.
